she is teasing this collab with The Weeknd since 2021. they already recorded a music video + Illangelo (who produced “Shinigami Eyes”, "Player Of Games", "100% Tragedy") works with The Weeknd since 2011.

I don't mind waiting because Player of Games was one of the tracks that is timeless on her discography I believe. I'm really glad she's not putting Shinigami Eyes on Book 1, I mean it was okay but it wasn't really up to par with her other work, it felt a bit soulless compared. 

I hope she's feeling better and I don't mind waiting when it's Grimes because I trust her vision when it comes to music (and creating iconic Paparazzi moments)
