Listen to I Wanna Be With You live from the iTunes festival (the first version of Dope). She sang in her known "pop" voice some even said it sounded close to her "Stefani" era vocals (especially the chorus) then she was forced to change because sad ballads were in. Then with the "Dope" we have now we have the complete opposite of I Wanna Be With You - raw dark and low.

its actually funny because they are the same key too

shes had 3 different ways of singing that Ive noticed in general

1rst: 2008-2014 (less deep, perfect pitch etc)

2nd: 2014-2016ish (the “dope” vocals, deeper, darker, fuller, etc)

3rd: 2016-now (great vocals but kind of pitchy sometimes and really hard changes of techinque)

I think the C2C era really made progress in terms of technique and confidence...

To me during this part of her career she learned to balance things more and be subtle with her belts use, strain less, interpret the song with more ease in terms of acting it, use many effects etc...

Good, deep, raw, emotional vocals, no idea why people prefer the high-pitched, poppy, fun sound.

Yess. Her reaching down to her stomach to draw out that pained voice, slurred words and all. It doesn't get better than that tbh

🧡The blindfold's off my eyes, all I see for me is better days🧡
