What makes you think so? The aesthetic is miles away from the folkmore aesthetic and if it was connected in some way, she wouldn't be using a different one. We've not heard a single note from it and we've all been wrong about which direction she's gonna head before. Nobody saw the direction of folklore coming after Lover, so it's best to just wait and see instead of preemptively getting upset

I can feel this is going to be a slay. Taylor can just churn out music for her fans and the GP. Surely Gaga will release something soon. HMH was meant to be out 2 years ago and chromatica was done years ago. So bored.

Midnight sounds better than Midnights in my opinion. Midnights sounds like someone trying to say Midnight with a lisp at the end  Not that having a lisp is a bad thing its just it seems off having that word in plural for some reason

Inevitable that an album was going to happen towards the end of this year but Taylor really needs to take a long overdue break at this point. You'd think after releasing 3 albums in 2 years plus 2 additional re-releases (with a ton of additional unheard tracks) that she'd be wanting to kick back a bit. I'm sick of the sight of her on these charts, especially American ones, who get her to #1 for breathing. I get music being a priority but her work will never improve if she doesn't take some time out to chill now and then. Yes, I'm of the belief that her music has only got minimally better with time. Her best album in my opinion was Reputation, and that came about after her longest ever break, so there's that.

But aside from all that, this album cover looks really good and if there's a side of Taylor I find interesting, it's her darker side. But I don't know what "darkness" she could possibly be talking about that she's endured in the last 2 years? She's been in a happy relationship for 5 years, the whole Scooter Braun thing has been worked out and her re-releases are what people will be buying instead and she's still making mega millions from her music, as ever. What on earth could she be talking about that's so dark and introspective? I learned to stop putting high hopes on Taylor's albums when she put out Folklore and I hoped it was going to be along the same lines of Safe & Sound but instead it was dull, forgettable, pretentious wannabe indie stuff.

How dare an artist do their job? If you don’t like seeing her on the charts, don’t look at the charts. 
 

You do realise people go through things, her post literally said it was songs she had written during the night during positive and negative times in her life. Really, if you don’t like Taylor, don’t listen to her stuff or post comments about how much her music grates on you. I will listen and enjoy this album.
