Eh I’d say her beats do quite a bit tbh; her best known ones are more 90s, but she’s got some diverse dance beats that she raps on and the sea punk stuff was super ahead of its time when it came out (and frankly still is since no one else has done it well yet)

Okay she kind of spilled tho. That album is actually 95% skippable, there were barely any standouts other than the singing part of Alien Superstar. You can take out bey’s vocals on majority of the tracks and it still hits the same.

I get what AB means, it was a vomit of what the general public thinks of vogue or ballroom beats. It didn’t have a solid direction or conceptual inspiration nor highlight that “Beyonce” energy. If you look at some of AB’s work like Fantasea, it wins over Renaissance conceptually and sonically. Azealia Banks is so problematic but you can’t deny she’s talented. Her voice and flow can elevate the most simple beat.
