Guest Posted August 12, 2022 Share Posted August 12, 2022 The rollout in the US for vaccines is so slow and the requirements currently are dripping with homophobic stereotypes. I currently don't qualify, but I'm hoping that with more vaccines being readily available it will result in the less ridiculous (and harmful) requirements. If you want to make targeted efforts to curb infectious disease spread in certain communities, then you work directly with them...that is basic epidemiology 101. But with the way things are going, and how homphobes in this country view monkeypox in this country, this ignorance will absolutely contribute to the spread across demographics in the coming weeks.
