I do think her aesthetic will change somewhat because in K-12, her Crybaby character essentially grows up.

YAS RELEASE DATES!

The fans have been rabid since earlier this year when she said the first single would drop June-July   Melanie's learned the Gaga lesson: never tease release dates until it's 100% confirmed

Also I wonder if this means we get the movie at the same time!! I'm definitely seeing this one in theatres like I did with K-12!

I hope so! It was really cool hearing the songs for the first time in Dolby Surround in a theatre with visuals!

Did you like After School? Because demos that leaked from between AS and the next album seemed a bit more AS to me, maybe even more experimental. But all very catchy in my opinion! 

Although... she's apparently been working on the album in Hawaii with Kinetics, CJ Baran and One Love who all wrote and produced Crybaby and earlier songs with her! Which is super exciting if it's true! 

Even though I really loved K-12 myself, she did pretty much make the whole album with just Mikey, so it will be interesting to see what her very early collaborators from 2013 will bring

I remember listening to After School but nothing really stands out to me so I guess it was meh. I'll have to listen to it again when I have some time. But I'm glad she's working with old collaborators again. I think even K-12 could have done a lot better had she not been caught up in the film production for so long.

I'm really looking forward to hear something new from her. CryBaby was my go-to album during high school and teen years, but she lost me with K-12 and After School EP

It took her so long probably because she had to start an album from the scratch... Her songs that was supposed to be on MM3 leaked.
