Back in the day Gaga once said she plans for her next three albums and their ideas of what they’ll look like visually, sonically, thematically.

Gaga says a lot of **** she doesn't actually go through with or do long-term, I highly doubt she's had plans thy she's stuck with. Besides, she seems to evolve pretty naturally as an artist..like, her eras aren't all pre-planned years in advance

If Chromatica was ARTPOP's little sister, we need a little sister for Born This Way.

A pop/rock album incorporating a broader range of musical genres such as opera, heavy metal, rock and roll, Europop, synth pop, electro-industrial, and disco.

An album inspired by 70s-80s artists such as Blondie (song example: Hear of Glass), Michael Jackson (song example: Beat It), Cyndi Lauper (Girls Just Want To Have Fun), Metallica (Nothing Else Matters) and Led Zeppelin (Stairway to Heaven) and Heart (Barracuda).

I would really love to hear instruments such as organ, electric guitar and saxophone once more.

Edit: And songs that last over 4 minutes!

Yes, yes and yes! I’ll take it all :diane:

I know what I would love for Gaga, actually.

Since she's clearly not going to leave the pop music box the stans and the industry have her in, she should usher in the revival of new jack swing :bradley:

We had a disco revival, 80s revival, then it skipped to mid/late 90s house music. But the early 90s with that new jack swing sound?! It has to be my favorite type of dance music :legend:

But she'll have to also abandon this trend of 2 minute songs 'cause that's a genre that needs space to breathe on a track. If she can't do that then don't even bother tbh. I'd love to see her stretch her own producer muscles, hook up with Teddy Riley or something, and just make an album of 4-6 minute dance songs :legend:

I'm imagining her version of one of my favorite MJ tracks:

And I could see a colorful era with it too, full of retro looks and bright aesthetics :flutter: ARTPOP truly was the only departure she ever made from that gothic, dark feel she does with every album. Even the JWT's interludes and appearances leaned on TFM aesthetics. I had hope that Chromatica was going to be bright but it's just as dark, if not darker, than TFM and BTW and what little I've seen of TCB and it's "brutal approach" has me wondering if she'll ever truly try anything new again after the ARTPOP backlash :messga:

I just really, really want an evolution from her. An actual shake up, not just a tease like the pre-tour Joanne era. Stans and critics be damned, she needs to leave 2010 behind.

...this post turned into something else but I'm not sorry :huntyga: I love Gaga so much as a person and entertainer but I've grown bored with the same dark themes being used again and again and again tbh.

Please no more 'revivals' or 'retro' its so boring:messga: i want something fresh and NEW. Not necessarily relying on Gaga for this, but a general trend in pop music. Recent trends have all just been throwbacks, we need a new sound to define the 2020s

There are several things I want.
I love Gaga but (people are gonna quote the **** out of me) but ive always felt like she doesn’t truly embrace genres and adds so many elements into it to be pop just to still be appealing to her pop audience. She tries to do industrial, rock, ala Fame Monster and Born This Way, etc but sometimes it only scratches the surface, and she slaps that label on there, but it’s still more pop than anything.

The next album could be anything but I want her to fully embrace a genre she picks without fear and not be just a tinge of what its “inspired by.” I want her to go full experimental. Something that will get those who aren’t used that type of music to be almost uncomfortable because it’s so out there for her and not what they are used to.  The day we get a full industrial album or a full metal album where she unapologetically being aggressive in her sound would be everything.

I hope the Museum of Brutality theme has been inspiring her to take the music to those visuals next. I wish she'd do a techno / industrial album with that, even 90's techno would work well. Scheiße, Government Hooker and Heavy Metal Lover are some of her best songs and if she went that sound it'd be amazing.

Chromatica is supposed to be about her pain and healing process. I'm just not sure she'd want the next album to be dark and about these issues all over again. I think she has finally moved on from that. I can see her doing something R&B inspired like Do What U Want/The Cure/Heal Me in the future.

i think it’s going to be a moody, dark sound. i get the vibe that it’s going to be a complete 180 from Chromatica

A few possibilities:

I'm kind of thinking it could be a Euro-inspired pop album; Italian influences from her time filming Gucci meshed w some of the pre-ARTPOP vibes like Edith Piaf as well as disco. Very Patrizia but Gaga-fied.

I could also see her doing a 90s love song album a la Whitney, Mariah, Celine. Hold My Hand already walks that line and I think it could be really beautiful to see her do a softer, more soulful album focused on love.

I def don't think she'll go full rock with the next one, as Chromatica was already pretty dark and loud. I feel like she always makes 180º turns w the album eras.

I hope we would get another pure por masterpiece! Lots of fans wants a rock album but then you let Hold My Hand tank so I prefere a safe pop genere ;)

I don't think your idea of gaga doing rock and what people want gaga to do in the rock genre are anywhere near the same thing.

Ma'am that's a 360 :laughga:

I would literally pay for her to put out music that wasn't dark tbh.

I hope she goes for like a Ray of Light and Kate Bush type of soundscape. Pop but alternative and kind of experimental but still with pop sensibility and commercial appeal.
