I don’t agree. What about Jackie Wilson, James Brown, Michael Jackson, Prince, Elvis on stage, they all can be on stage with zero background dancers, zero stage effects and entertain you. It’s charisma, presence, talent, depth, soul. That to me is the top notch of entertainers.

Now u could say well u can vote in terms of entertainment and the effects and artistic choices they make on stage. Yeah but… to me u really are the GREATEST entertainer if u can be on stage with nothing and all eyes are on u and u feel entertained. Not many can do that. And also I’m kinda sad no one mentions Jackie Wilson cause I always felt he’s one of the greatest. Beyoncé to me is far from the list… but I always have this feeling she gets praise in the press to avoid criticism and backlash from her fans or people who attribute Bey to african american freedom and rights. Meaning, you have racism in u if u don’t agree, which is so childish and weird

This! A great entertainer is someone who only needs a microphone and no props and can still entertain people.

To me that’s the definition. Because not many people can do that and u truly have the heart of one. I think Bey could entertain ofc without anything but it wouldn’t be the greatest, my opinion

I have to agree. When it comes to overall performance (dancing, vocals, production) I think Beyonce is better than Gaga. Put aside the versitality and artistry that Gaga has, the only celebrity, who I believe can exceed Gaga on those thing is Beyonce.

Ummm.  She barely has released anything this past decade.

excuse me? In the last 11 years:

• Four solo albums (4, Beyoncé, Lemonade, Renaissance)
• A duo album (Everything is Love)
• Produced and released music as part of a companion album to a Disney Movie (Lion King: The Gift)
• Loads of music videos, including 17 for Beyoncé, the Lemonade Film, Black is King, and more
• A history-making Coachella performance that was
• Turned into a Netflix film that she directed
• Voice acting in the Lion King
• Loads of successful singles as a featured artist (Perfect duet with Ed Sheeran, Savage with Megan Thee Stallion, etc.)
• 4 world tours (Mrs. Carter, On the Run, Formation, On the Run II)
• All the while having given birth to 3 kids.

Your expectations of this woman's time are a bit excessive.

A rolling stone article released a week after the CBT started , saying Beyoncé is the greatest living entertainer, mmm suspicious, am i reaching? I always feel this jealousy vibe from her towards Gaga, i just dont know why, and thats my opinion

... beyoncé's first album in 6 years is being released in 2 days and that the article's timing is 100% about preparing for the new album era rather than having anything to do with TCB ...

Agree...Disco queen, horse...precisely now.  I have always had the feeling she steals ideas...She is a massive entertainer, no doubt, but she usually lacks originality...No disrespect intended though.

I did. I was all the way here for her visual drops, I think the albums are 'good' and that she is an excellent performer. Beyonce, in my opinion, is still an icon and a 'great' in the making - she's just not the best living entertainer of our generation. Personally speaking, I think you need to be more well-rounded as an entertainer to earn that title.

:smh:

Beyonce can sing and dance.... like many others.

To be honest, if I go to a concert from her I experience it as a concert, not as a show, with that I mean she sings and dance, nothing special in my opinion like for example Gaga at her BTWB.

She has nice music, like many others, but yes there needs to be promo for a new album somehow.

Always be kind to others, you may need them once

To be honest, I wouldn’t particularly agree with some of the posts saying Gaga’s performances are “messy” to a degree. She may not be as flawless of a dancer as Beyoncé, but don’t for a second think Gaga just shows up trying to dance a number for the first, second, or third time when she steps on that stage live. Gaga is also a perfectionist to her core. Are we forgetting she rehearsed 6 months for The Sound of Music tribute at the Oscars?? Gaga is truly the greatest entertainer alive in my opinion. I have never seen another artist as versatile and polished in nearly every entertainment format possible. Maybe the “messy” you all are referring to is that she locks in and frees her mind to an extent when she’s on stage, but no one can ever say that Gaga isn’t as much of a perfectionist as Beyoncé, if not more so. To me, songwriting:laughga:, acting, vocals, and natural performance ability make the greatest entertainer alive, and to be quite honest, Gaga is FAR better than Beyoncé ever has been at any of those for me. Gaga has originality with all she does.  I have never seen another artist that gets so engrossed in their shows the way Gaga does. It’s truly like she’s a freak of nature when it comes to stepping on that stage. Gaga is the greatest entertainer I have ever seen.

idk but "entertainer" the actual word doesn't sit right with me

like you just "entertain", maybe i'm taking it too literal?

I don't think it's shady, tbh.
