This show was a mess in terms of organisation but the monsters were so nice. I was in a group of 6 and when we got the bracelets and the gifts from our tickets we got separated because some of us were checked in before the others and people were like "Oh, you were together right? Go with your friends" then at the show we were passing water to each others and giving iphone chargers to other people to use

Well, people say similar things about Germans, so maybe I fit right in But I realized over the last that Paris in summer is indeed incredibly stuffy, hot and crowded , soo I'm glad for you!

omg poor girl ! No that wasn't me I was in Pelouse Or, but I hope she was ok. It sounds like a lot of people were passing out. I know there was a pregnant lady near me who was being helped by the paramedics when I fainted and some of them then tried to come over to help me, but luckily I was ok so they were able to continue with her.

Yeah it really was a mess once the line started to move. But I'm happy you also had a great experience with the people around you, it really can make or break a show.

Paris is my very favourite city in the world. Everytime I visit people have been very nice. I think people (North Americans) having bad experiences is partly due their expectations of people acting like they do in North America. For example, waiters in the US usually come by all the time with “how are the first few bites tasting” and “do you need anything else?” Etc, and people seem to like the attentiveness. But I had read that in Paris  people expect to be left alone to enjoy their own time and waiters will not bother you unless you ask for them to come over out of respect. So Americans sometimes feel “ignored” when it’s actually a courtesy. And I also always greet Parisian storekeepers when I enter their space to be polite and they also are very friendly back. But if you go into a store and don’t acknowledge them at all and the first thing you say is “how much is this” they could feel offended. I think its these different expectations that help create the impression of the rude Parisian.

It’s OK, it didn’t prevent me from having a good time  But yeah, it’s always the same at these shows. Honestly, I’ve become too old for this ****, next time I’m getting Early Entry tickets.

1,000% this. I was a foreign exchange student my freshman year of college and I initially thought my host family didnt like me but I came to realize that was "the french way" by being quiet and aloof. Sweetest family ever but just quiet and aloof.

As corny as it sounds, we truly are like family. To others we're just a fanbase but its so much deeper than that. Like you have to be a part of it to truly understand

I’m happy you’ve had a nice experience despite the various drawbacks. I wasn’t around friendly people once inside, so I did feel pretty alone - all my friends were in other sections, or completely out of reach. People are a big part of the experience, so I’m glad you’ve had it.

What number were you ? Everything seemed fine at the beginning of the line

Also the security told us GC we'rent supposed to be gate R (that's why they moved the lines like 3 times in the morning.

Also idk if gate H accessed the stadium before us but I was 30th at gate R so I entered really fast, and the GC was already FULL  But something was wrong, either they sold too many EE or not all gates opened at the same time

I only waited a shameful 9 hours, so I was something like #374  Meaning I was waiting outside of the barriers. The **** up happened when the first fans got in and cleared the barriers and the rest of us rushed and tried to get in as soon as possible. At this moment numbers meant nothing anymore, security gave 0 **** and it was everyone for their life (exactly as had happened 10 years ago at this same location for the BTWBall...). So if you were at the beginning of the line, it's normal you had no idea - you were already inside when everything turned to ****.

And yeah, the gates were incredibly confusing. I quickly realized both GC and Pelouse Or people were mixed together and I couldn't understand the logic. Like, there are literally 18 gates at Stade de France... It made absolutely no sense not to assign specific gates to specific tickets. And with specific ticket holders spanned across a shitload of different gates, it was absolutely to be expected that they wouldn't be opening at the exact same time and that it would create unfair situations. The BTWBall was also chaotic in its own way, but at least I seem to remember that everyone that had access to the Monster Pit was gathered at one single gate (though we should keep in mind Monster Pit was much smaller than the current GC section).

I'm also under the impression they sold too many EE. I have a friend who had one of those tickets, and while his spot was more than decent, he definitely was in the middle of a crowd and nowhere next to the stage.
