I think I finally understand Gaga....

It's been a while since I last made a thread on here however I thought I would share some thoughts I'd be having. This is also in no way to over cross in Gaga's personal life or mental being.

However, I see so many Monsters talk about how Gaga isn't the same person she used be way back from 2009-2011. She used to use social media all the time and would have such a different out look on things etc. But when you think of it, she's been through so much since then, so much I can't even put it all in here. In some ways the entertainment industry chewed her up and spat her out (ARTPOP era) and think she's been very open about how that was a hard time for her, after something like that no body can be the same. Also I can understand why she doesn't use her socials that much anymore either, as people can be so vicious and every time you open any app it can be so draining from the negativity. I say this because I feel similar to how she did, maybe still does? It's hard to remain the same person after such issues with your mental health and life not being easy.

I respect her so much, and I hope that she is happy doing what she's doing of course I don't think theres anything wrong with having opinions on her career/work just sometimes it's so hard to get out of bed when you feel so depressed and I think Chromatica sometimes may remind her of that so I understand why she has a hard time singing the songs as nobody wants a reminder of a dark time in there life as it can be very stressful to someone who is already suffering.

Like i say this all seems so random but it's just what i've observed over the past 5 years of becoming a Monster again, also apologies about any bad grammar my dyspraxia is my biggest enemy sometimes :laughga:

I agree with you mostly... Something that's no clear for me is where she is now. Is she really distant from what she was where Chromatica was in the making so the songs reminds her of those times? Or she still very close, but functioning and coping with her internal battles so much better, and that's just why it's so hard to "recall" those "memories" that are not quite yet memories?

I think we all tend to have a crave for identification, to see yourselves represented on others, specially the ones we love such as our idols... And that's why I have such a hard time understanding Gaga, specially as a person, besides her artistry. Maybe that's why you have this opinion about her relation to social medias, because we tend to project us on others. But at the same time every one of us have this feeling of negativity and drain about Internet... Also the Internet is very different then it used to be, and Gaga is older than she used to be. I am too, and these days I simply don't seem to follow or care for being online anymore. But yes, the negativity, the criticism, people's reaction are problably harder for her, in a way we can't even imagine because we're not in the spot the way she is... No one is.

She certainly can't be the same person after all she's been through... And even if she had have a perfect life, something I believe doessn't exist, no one is the same after so many years. But I don't fully understand how much the industry and the audience's reaction to ARTPOP were responsible for her trauma, even after hearing and reading her interviews. I'm not saying it wasn't, by the way... It's just me having that hard time on understanding her as I've said before. It's hard to try to understand her through the "story" told by TCB or any of her art pieces because when it comes to art things can be anything, mixed, distorted, invented, or even literally transcripted from really. My ARTPOP could be anything. :trollga:

Yesterday she was putting up a show about grief... The grief of violently losing herself to all she suffered, of course. But also the grief of having her heart broken, of losing a loved one, of losing her believes and many other she has experienced through her life or even had not experienced, but somehow added to the show in the fields of creation. I think after all art is not about situations. Gaga might be singing about something we can't even imagine, or talking in interviews etc... But somehow the feeling behind that makes you recall and feel better about dealling with your own experiences and bond to her and her art pieces. And that's what it's about for me and what gives us the feeling we're finally understanding her as you say. Or maybe it's exactly what you explained and you really understand her as if you knew her closely...  I don't know.
