I remember saying back then that I would have wanted to meet Patrizia, but I totally understand why she didn't. And I think maybe she was advised not to actually, so it's whatever because she was amazing anyway :iamfair:

For me I think just my curiosity would make me want to meet her :enigma:

Honestly house of Gucci wasn’t that good of movie. The highlights were Gaga’s scene, but even then it was a boring film. I don’t really care for Gaga’s interviews saying it was about a woman navigating in a man’s world, it was about a greedy woman who has her husband assassinated because she couldn’t have him. :madge:

i think gaga was trying to make her seem more human, i mean after all.. she is a killer but even killers have more than one side, not saying shes a good person, obviously she is not.

Never heard of Mina before, but I sat though the whole video, and I really liked her. Just to clear one thing up though, HOG isn't a biopic. It's not Patrizia's life story. She is probably the main character, but the movie is called House Of Gucci, it's based on a book called House Of Gucci, and it's about the House Of Gucci.

As for Gaga not meeting Patrizia, well what would have been the point ? To get a more realistic portrayal ? Why ? Nobody would know whether the portrayal was reaistic or not. Or maybe it would just have been good manners ? Well yeah, I suppose so, but if they'd been concerned about good manners they wouldn't have made the movie in the first place.

And that leads me on to agreeing with one of Mina's main overall points. To take HOG as an example, the movie was about real people and the events leading up to a real and awful crime, and I don't think it should have been made without the Gucci family's blessing. There's a lot of that about these days, pointing a camera at actual tragedy and packaging the footage as enertainment. Ridley is a churner-outer (apparently most of the tv ads of the 70's and 80's were made by him). HOG was a real-life story of sex, murder, money and glamour. They got Gaga for box office and promo, threw in Adam, Jared, Salma et Al, Ridley churned it out, and it made loadsamoney. Next.

And why should I care about a random Youtuber’s opinion when literally every single critic praised Gaga’s acting, she earned almost every award nomination out there and the movie was so beloved by the general public that it became the only successful drama since 2019? :oprah:

It's ridiculous thinking that to play a character based on a real person, you have to actually meet that real person, like we wouldn't have biopics tbh  but whatever, you are entitled to your wrong opinion.
