Not fully confirmed, but according to panoromana.am, BRICS International Forum President Purnima Anand has said that Turkey, Egypt and Saudi Arabia could "very soon" join the group of major emerging economies, which includes Brazil, Russia, India, China, and South Africa, Sputnik International reports, citing the Izvestia newspaper.

BRICS includes Russia, China, India, Brazil, South Africa. Two other aspirant countries are Iran and Argentina.

Iran and Saudi Arabia are mortal enemies. How are they gonna even sit on the same table? Iran also applied.

Unless they plan on repairing their ties? But to me it seems the West's failure to protect Ukraine has caused other countries to become nervous, and now they're seeking alternative arrangements and new allies.

China and India too and Turkey is also competing with Saudi Arabia and Iran within the Middle East. This is an agglomeration of countries that don't get along along and are simply together because of their distrust for the West. It reminds me of the Allies + URSS during WW2.

Most of these countries are neutral at the best and straight up pro-Russia at worst. :laughga: They simply don't like the West, despise American economic hegemony and literally see the enemy of their enemy as their friend.

Setting sketch Countries politically aside...

The idea of a currency backed by real assets rather than the fiat we been using so heavily last 50 years sounds more sound to me.
