You only compare them because as Ava said they are doing pop and have blond hair. This is what Ava said about these comparisons: "It's funny how people compare though just because I make pop music and I have blonde hair. it's interesting because they don't do that to guys they only do that to girls so it is unfortunate that they like to compare but hey Lady Gaga is a great comparison so I love it. I love her she's great." She keeps on bringing up how Mariah is her idol but if so, why does none of her songs and imagery emulate Mariah? The only similarity are their whistle notes, which Ava doesn't even dabble in all the time. Everything about her screams early 00's Gaga and she knows it, that's why she never brings her up as an inspiration, it's a guilty conscience at work. And she knows she'll definitely be called out if she does so because an admission of inspiration is all the proof that we're right. And can we stop with this BS "feminist" complaint that only women get compared just for being women (and when they're blonde too, weird connection)? Men have been compared to each other since the dawn of time, especially in the realm of music. Anyone who says otherwise clearly doesn't follow male music and their fandoms. 5 hours ago, insight said: When your career revolves around a tired haircut This is harsh but so true. She's a borderline one hit wonder, if you count Kings & Queens as a hit. The only thing that she's truly remembered for in the public eye is Sweet But Psycho and that unusual haircut which hasn't even been adopted by anyone else because it's not "a thing" like she seems to think it is. 2 hours ago, Reginald said: I.. kind of disagree? The more Ava's career has progressed, the only resemblance I really notice is the blonde wig. They make totally different styles of music- Ava is 100% pure pop, while Gaga has explored just about every genre known to mankind. The comparisons are from people who only want one blonde superstar at a time. Just like how Britney was pitted against Christina, Madonna vs Gaga, Sia (blonde "Monster" wig era) vs Gaga etc I don't even see the fashion comparisons that Gaga fans like to claim. Nothing visually screams Gaga to me and the sound is moreso a modern take on 80s synthpop. A sound Gaga did once, like 15 years ago. The point is, she bases herself on early Gaga. No one's saying Gaga's recent work sounds like this. But her old stuff sure does. Ava also likes wearing latex, high heeled knee high boots, black lipstick and even wore a pink stetson and played guitar in Kings & Queens music video. It's way when you search for Gaga on YouTube, their facial recognition technology also suggests Ava's videos to you and vice versa. Again, what's the fascination with the public only comparing blondes? They compare everyone!

"It's funny how people compare though just because I make pop music and I have blonde hair." - no, the comparisons go far beyond that and you know that. It's the fashion, the inclusive message, the 'I'm a freak like you' message, the production, the queer 'appropriation'. I genuinely think that quote is close to gaslighting. She knows full well she's like Gaga and how she's being positioned. If it was truly just about being blonde and making pop music, why isn't Taylor compared to Gaga? Call it out!
