FfFfFfFF 58,134 Posted July 10, 2022 Share Posted July 10, 2022 The nationalist organization “Grey Wolves” donated a map showing the Aegean islands & Crete as part of Turkey to government partner Devlet Bahceli According to en.protothema, one more provocation from the head of the far-right Nationalist Movement Party (ΜΗΡ) Devlet Bahceli and government partner of Turkish President Tayyip Erdogan took place when he visited the headquarters of the nationalist organization “Grey Wolves”, of which he is effectively the head, and had a meeting with its executives. The Grey Wolves, officially known as Idealist Hearths is a Turkish far-right organization and movement affiliated with the Nationalist Movement Party (MHP). Commonly described as ultranationalist, neo-fascist, and Islamist, it is a youth organization that has been characterized as the MHP's paramilitary or militant wing. We had enough of these kind of politicians, their followers and their expansion mania, both in Greece and Turkey. Can we all live under peace and love already? Constant issues with Greece, the invasion of our sister country Cyprus, the Armenian Genocide, the invasion of Constantinople into Istanbul, the conversion of Hagia Sofia to a mosque. Greeks holding onto Istanbul is also in some ways expansionism and nationalism. Constantinople was conquered in the 15th century and is now officially a Turkish city and has been for a while. Additionally, the conversion of Hagia Sophia is fine since almost all the mosques in Greece have been converted to churches or museums as well. I understand the symbolism but it's time to move on.
