That makes no sense. There was almost nothing planned for the album, as you could see from day 1 when Stupid Love came out. She dropped her product and left, as she always does now when she doesn't have contractual obligations. Covid was responsible for the Chromatica 'non-era'. There's a concert tour starting in one week. It would have happened two years ago if it hadn't been for covid.
Reginald 13,841
I deeply admire Gaga for her social activism and being aware of her influence That being said, I still cant help but reflect on how artists like Dua, Ava, and Kylie were able to pull of flawless, complete eras in 2020. They were creatively using very low-budget/high impact setups like soundstages and lighting/special effects to film music videos, live performances for tv shows, and YouTube content. I was in awe at the last-minute brilliance these artists were able to pull together. Even Gaga, herself, used promo like this (Marsha P Johnson performance, Chromatica TV) but abandoned it right as fans were becoming enthusiastic towards the new concepts. It sucks that Chromatica happened during a period of turmoil. I just wish there was a more effective backup plan. Then again, maybe I would have been so distracted by Gaga that maybe I wouldn't have become the hardcore Ava Max fan I am today
RAMROD 111,610
Gurl yes, most people only here for the music. Music and musicians always been an escapade from real world for many. So it is to be understood when a group of them are let down when an awaited album get delayed for no exact date. Some may agree and follow her trails of activism and that's OK. But some don't, and that's OK too. At the end of the day most of her fanbase are leaning to progressive. We don't need to shame each other out of this. 。°(°.◜ᯅ◝°)°。 ✧*:・゚ you supposed to cook for us, AZ (˃̣̣̥ᯅ˂̣̣̥) ♡♡♡

And she was originally supposed to have a Coachella/iheart radio set? But apparently that's "nothing" I honestly don't think they would've have said it if it was true, like “look what you didn't get!”, it just doesn't sound right to me, and she didn't go all out for any of her projects after that. You might say it's still because of covid, but I'm sure she doesn't want to do it right now, and she really deserves a rest for all the incredible work she's done from 2008 to today. But yeah, I'll never believe the “we spent 18 months planning the era” bullsh*t, especially since literally nothing happened for three weeks when Stupid Love was released, and THEN there was the lockdown (I also used the lockdown excuse to justify the hole in my CV)

All that content doesn't just appear out of nowhere. It takes a LOT of hard work behind the scenes. It's just like now - Gaga is hard at work planning and rehearsing the tour but of course some little f words are questioning her just because she isn't TWEETING. Open your eyes. Head Empty 25,498
People also tend to forget that Gaga has a personal life to take care off. Have we forgotten about all the hardships she has discussed in interviews over the past 2 years? In a different thread someone theorized that Chromatica might be Gaga's last big pop project before trying to start a family. Imagine having all that planned, gearing yourself up go all-out one "last" time and then the world says "lol no". It's not just her album release that got moved - it's all of her personal life as well. If the last two years have taught us anything, it's that we can't plan or predict sh*t. Just because your other fav did lots of promo, doesn't mean every pop star in the world was working with the same circumstances.
