No one needs needs this reminder. While it’s mind boggling you’d run to blame the left, over the right, I wish people wouldn’t engage. Its just wraps. Gay marriage is at risk… I’m sorry but there is nothing worth learning over this bc everything we care about is at risk. Can we not turn this is to another neolib v. dem socialist war thread??? There is no point other than to be toxic. Dividing dems is so counter productive at this point. 2016 is already over, so please stop serving us spoiled apples. Focus on the republicans in 2022 doing this and how to delete their current majority (hihi Manchin) - how is thst not the obvious response?

Yeah, nice try at pivoting and deflection and putting words in my moth. Oh, for the record: I can't stand the right and you better believe I blame them.

Manchin, a total a***ole, has nothing to do with the Supreme Court's decision today. Nor do any congresspeople. On any side. Right or left or in between. Nor does Joe Biden. They have no power over the Supreme Court. None.

However, the president who appointed them 100% does. That person was Trump. It should have been Hillary. Not because she was perfect, but because she would have appointed three liberal justices. So, you better believe I'm bringing up the election that gave us that orange idiot. I fail to understand how you don't see it. And I'm not bringing it up to be "toxic" (how silly a statement). I bring it up to remind people that elections have HUGE consequences. We're feeling the weight of those consequences today and will for the next few decades. It stings for sure. And that sting should help us think a little more critically next time. Not let emotions get in the way of logic.

I truly hope we get out and vote like hell in 2022 and 2024. It won't change the Supreme Court right away. We're stuck with that. But any progress is better than not.

Oh the absolute mess that’s about to ensue on the streets for the foreseeable future. This isn’t great.

Don’t worry. Everybody has military weapons to protect everybody from everybody.

Your thread title is false.

Abortion is up to the states. It is not banned.

It's not inherently false... leaving it up to the states means effectively banning it in some places... but it should be clarified that it's not all.

And with the far right getting more power in the rest of the world including my country, I'm scared for everyone in the years to come.

No, it is false. The Supreme Court gave the decision back to states. That is not “banning” it.

Who half of which will then ban it 100%, I mean they could've used better wording but

It’s in the name. Conservatives want to “conserve” “traditional values”. They’re terrified of progress and things they don’t understand and their moral code comes from misguided interpretations an ancient fiction novel

Better wording is that Supreme Court overturned Roe v Wade, and that thread exists…
