I've never been the biggest Beyoncé fan but if she's coming up with 90's house this is probably going to sound like Chromatica in a more Beyoncé style of course. I assume there were several songwriters involved for this and could be a great album. She has made an impact wih self titled, Lemonade and the other side projects she has done but it's always been a hit or miss to me. Like she's finally doing something I can listen to just for fun and is catchy (I assume) and it's obviously going to be praised by the fans and critics because it's her.

Edit: I forgot this is most likely a double album so it's going to be interesting to see how they sound. I have a feeling she's going for 90s house first and then something like 70's Donna Summer for Volume 2 but if both of them are the same genre then cool too.

I'm guessing it's going to be either early 90s house music, late 90s rap, or late 90s R&B dance pop. I'm hoping for the latter. I loved Destiny's Child sophomore and her debut album and they are what she does best.

I just hope it's not that cheesy 80s disco beat because we are SICK of this Dua Lipa and Doja sound tbh, I hope that it sounds more like some fresh 90s beats like Gaga did with miss Chromatica

i just feel like all of her music is touted as the next coming of jesus and i haven’t liked anything since self-titled. i feel like just because it’s beyoncé, people’s expectations cloud how good the music actually is. maybe i’ll be wrong.

I don't think people are scared of being cancelled, but I do think (and I've always maintained) that Beyonce is literally marketed as the 'queen'. All of her imagery contributes to that, and her releases or contributions to pop-culture are perceived (unironically) as the second coming as a result. If anything, there should be a masterclass on how successfully she has marketed herself because her name alone is what carries her through even if the work was mediocre.

Lemonade was an okay album, nice songs, with a great visual counterpart, but it was the fact that it was Beyonce that made it what it was. As dedicated as I am to Gaga I can say the same thing. A lot of her recent projects were hyped by both media and stans but I don't think any of them (besides ASIB) measured up to a real Gaga pre-ARTPOP era.

Although I think she's musically one of the best artists we've seen, I agree with a lot of this. On your Lemonade point though, I will say it was reviewed the way it was because of it was a beautifully-shot visual album with a deep and meaningful cultural analysis that directly related back to a personal subject that has been highly observed and critiqued for years but extremely secretive.

This is my Hannah Montana™️ lipgloss.

She’s coming and she’s got the haters mad!
Love it. She always delivers quality, I wasn’t a fan of anything after Lemonade but Lemonade is everything every Gaga fan can only dream of, which is unfortunate, but it is what it is.

I'm not a fan of Beyoncé but one thing for sure, she's gonna do this right. No cookie cutter beats, 2min house tracks or even play it safe. I feel like she's gonna really curate something great and get some really awesome producers on this. I'm definitely gonna have to check this out.
