Some of you fans are so pessimistic when it comes to Gaga and her film choices these days. Hopefully she proves y'all wrong again, like with ASIB and Gucci.

Nothing wrong with a bit of constrictive criticism, but like y'all jump to the most negative conclusions just like that.

I am so genuinely excited for this movie! At the same time, I've become a little nervous about Gaga becoming associated with the Joker fanbase  Am I being paranoid?

I've loved Joker and Batman since I was a kid, but also have to admit that there are some abrasive, incel-stereotype people who personally identify with the Joker character 

Does anyone follow DC fanbases? What does the Incel Community think of this news? Tbh maybe a Lady GayGay musical film might broaden their minds a little

I'll say from someone who is a part of the DC fanbase. There definiely is that aspect of the community that you're describing. However, it's not the majority. There are "bad" people in every fanbase really. I mean there are bad Gaga fans, just in different ways.

Majority of DC fans are just chill nerds. There's also a lot of gay fans and DC has been really embracing their LGBT+ characters lately which is fun to see.

Actually Harley Quinn is supposed to be bisexual. It would be cool to see that in Gaga's version but I imagine they will focus on her relationship with Joker.

I was expecting to see a lot of pushback from DC fans about Gaga's casting but actually it's been very positive from what I've seen. There's always haters but we can't deny the strides Gaga has made in the public perception of herself as an actress. If this casting news came out before ASIB, I imagine it would be very different reception from the fans. She has proven herself and many people are already excited, anticipating something really wacky and off the wall from Gaga and Phoenix.

I like to think that Gaga has been starting to dive into the story of Joker, while rehearsing for TCB. Like, maybe she is starting to research online...here's one I recently watched that talks about the acting though. I know Harley will be a diff take but this is a really good analysis:

For anyone asking how this'll be a musical, Joker is delusional. He'll probably hallucinate everything as a musical is the most likely direction and I am here for it. If you clicked on the article and read it, the working title is Folie a Deux, meaning the madness of two in French, so maybe a joint delusion. It's there.

It’s not Joker (haha) the musical. 

It’s Arthur (uncomfortable) spewing his delusions to his psychiatrist, and us believing they fall in love. Musical In a sense that his psychosis turns into song. I can see this being much more creepy than the original.
