She wants to try NEW things, a musical, a superhero movie, etc. Joker 2 is like hitting 2 birds with one stone, lol. Sure, a Joker musical sounds weird, but Joker (2019) won an Oscar for BEST SCORE. Adding musical elements and Gaga is very risky and bold. Plus the masses are not here for the musical part so far.
