Can't speak for this couple in particular, but: Societal expectations - it is what is normal Mothers are usually the primary caregivers while men are the primary earners - this is becoming less important these days, but historically women would stay at home to raise the kids (or just work aprt time) whereas the men work then come from work 'exhausted' Stereotypically men are more likely to want to move on quickly/more willing to detach themselves from the nuclear family When one half of the couple is 'at fault' (i.e. Pique cheating), the kids will usually stay with the non-fault parent Link to post Share on other sites More sharing options...

Florida don't levy income tax, (as does 7 other states) which is why a lot of pensioners moving there Also, pretty sure she wanna move to Miami because that place have a large LatAm community who are more affluent from south of the border. These usually are with work permits, university degrees, and high expectations of upward mobility, many of them buy houses with swimming pools, big lawns and access to good school districts.
