Except they didn't do what other artists did as one, they absolutely ATE. I understand her frustation but honestly she should be proud of the show they put on together, hands down one of the best ever.

I think many of you forget how iconic Jennifer Lopez actually is. She was one of the biggest female artists of the late 90s-early 2000s and had hit after hit and helped to shape Latina pop across the world.

Comparing Jennifer Lopez to Shakira isn't necessary at all. Both are extremely successful and talented in their own rights. Regardless of how many of you might feel, I do agree that both artists did deserve their own show, because both are absolutely legendary.

While I can understand why everyone is bashing her for having a lack of humility, she never expressed how ungrateful she was for performing. She simply just stated she wanted a full show, or at least a longer one to fully celebrate both artists instead of a shorter mish-mash of their hits.

It’s a documentary about the halftime show. This is legitimately the time where it makes sense to reflect on this. Also the point is not giving each of them proper amounts of time and having two headliners when it was usually just one. On top of that, the year they chose to do two it’s with Latina women. I think there’s a lot to unpack here with the NFL and how they do business, but instead people are swinging this as her being ungrateful or somehow dissing Shakira. They can be grateful and critique the experience at the same time.

I mean it is weird that they had to combine. I imagine Shakira was not happy about it either. It feels weird because it's the first double headliner show, but also because it's the first Latina pop queens. They couldn't pick one or the other to do it themselves? Idk it's odd.

But their show was amazing. Top 3 halftimes ever for me.

You re-explaining the context doesn't change the fact that she still chose to do it in the end

JLo needs to chill. Without Selena she'd be nothing. She should be thankful that she's still getting attention at this age especially that she barely has any talents or hits. She literally built off her entire career of other artists lol.

What I'm exhibiting is "If you have a problem with it, don't do it". She literally said this was the worst idea ever, and still did it. An artist of the magnitude of J-Lo could have afforded turning down the SuperBowl while staying true to her beliefs. Since she willingly chose to do it, she doesn't get the luxury of complaining about it. You can see how bad that looks, right?
