Cruelty 6,172 Posted June 6, 2022 Share Posted June 6, 2022 I think, for me, the thing that makes me proudest to be a long-time Kate Bush stan is that it isn't a chopped-up, pitch-shifted, mash-upped, edited remix of "Running Up That Hill" that just charted in the top 10 of the Billboard Hot 100. It's just... "Running Up That Hill" itself. This wonderful song—far too long by 2022 standards, and sung by an artist whose perceived weirdness has been mocked for decades—has made it to the top 10 on its own merit, in all its ferocious majesty and its drama and its beautiful anguish.
