is not that she is unpopular, is that her fanbase is broke

Tickets tend to sell out the same day as the concert happens (which is the case for most residencies, this is pretty known)

May 28th

May 30th

Thanks for the concern, though. I'm sure she will be fine.

I saw this last minute last weekend and let me tell you this show is INCREDIBLE

It will fill up by showtime I'm sure - and if not what a waste cause the production is PHENOMENAL

this was what OGH expected from a gaga residency and instead it smashed records AND she is still able to go on stadium world tours despite "chained to vegas" claims  :lmao:

I think one thing maybe affecting Katy is that she's in this awkard middle ground for fans

Older people who appreciate legends on stage may not think of the name Katy Perry as a qualifier or at least not among the first names on the list for that. I don't think she reached the level of that huge icon legendary lasting impact status that many like to see in Vegas among older crowd

But at the same time she's not an IT girl for current popularity which can also fill up seats

Rn she's kinda of not relevant in today's charts but only an almost legend of the last decade that's kinda crossing into that category but not quite

I suspect women in 30s and then maybe mom's in their 40s (helped by American idol probably) make up most of her base that would go see her. Probably not a tone of support arm outside that group, and their husbands that go with them...

Not sure if this has anything to do with it, just a random “what if”, but maybe Covid still has something to do with it? I’ve seen other tours not selling that well, maybe people aren’t flooding to shows the way they used to?

I mean, she just added days in October for her show so I guess she’s fine.

I went to see it a couple months ago and I had a great time. The production is really good, the setlist is amazing, she got the charisma and the venue was packed.

At the end everybody was praising and saying how good it was, among young and older people that was there.

This is also a good point, I know people always talk about getting tickets day-of in Vegas.

i think she needs to start doing small revamps here and there. a new song, diff costume, etc.

but her ticket sales have been going down with each leg, but yeah, i was looking at this the other day

It depends. People are more scared about the money factor by now, the pandemic still hurts the pockets especially after prices skyrocketing on everything so concerts got some steps down on people priority lists I guess.

On the other hand, you can see por exemplo Coldplay doing 5 days SOLD OUT shows of their tour ONLY in São Paulo city in Brazil, not to mention the other dates.

so who knows

This is all true, it seems like major stadium tours are selling wonderfully. Like you said Coldplay has sold incredibly well, Ed Sheeran is playing several nights per stadium in several countries, Gaga keeps adding dates to her stadium tour, etc., but I’ve also seen other artists struggling to sell the same venues they’ve sold out in the past, so it’s really hard to say.

Same thing happened on the dates I posted above, both had sold 50% of the tickets the day before the concert and ended up selling 90%+ of the tickets by the end of the day.
