Even 5 years old children talk about him. Thanks to Atatürk, Turkey was one of the most modern countries a few decades ago. We were the leading country in giving the women the right to vote and every man had to wear a hat to look modern to create a good image for the country. Atatürk then founded the Turkish Republic and ended the Ottoman Empire, changed the alphabet to fit the modern world. The economy was great, the technological progress was great and there was no religion in our country. Then, Erdogan came and changed everything using religion. He washed people's brains and he also hates Atatürk too. Now our economy is suffering, literally, our education is worthless, no technology, only religion. Every educated person here hates his guts. If Im talking in english with someone, and the english word for Turkiye is Turkey, then calling it Turkey is fine right?
