Mess. It is a setback for domestic violence victims, regardless of their gender. She made fun of the MeToo movement by doing all this circus. That audio with her telling John that no one would believe he's a victim because he's a man was pretty bad.

And yet she limited the comments lmao a clown till the end.

But I saw a thread about Depp's win yesterday, where is it?

They blocked the thread and apparently GGD admins are on Amber's side, which is ridiculous.

The main focus of this whole case is the article she wrote for The Washington Post titled "Amber Heard: I spoke up against sexual violence — and faced our culture’s wrath. That has to change."

The article did not even name Johnny, but was more about the fact men continue to have power in these situations. The fact Amber literally foreshadowed her future in the article title is chilling.

While this is not a landmark case in the legal sense, the shift in culture this is going to bring is undeniable. Its only going to make it harder for victims to come forward, especially women and trans people. Victims are now going to be afraid they could be sued into bankruptcy for speaking out. This is going to embolden the Kavanaugh/Trump apologists, and this is basically the end of #MeToo.

Make no mistake, Amber is a flawed and troubled person that has abused Depp, but the fact the jury did not believe a single claim that Johnny abused her is where I am stunned. I think they were mutually abusive. Even thier marriage counselor said there was mutual abuse. Her makeup artist admitted to covering bruises before she went on the James Corden show. Johnny has a substance problem that was known to bring out the "monster". There are text messages from Johnny's assistants about Johnny being sorry he kicked her. There are text messages Johnny sent to friends about him wanting to burn her and globally humiliate her.

The jury, which was 5 men and 2 women, also should have been sequestered and the court cameras turned off. This was not a fair trial at all. The jury would have been influenced by the court of public opinion for such a polarizing and high profile case. In this regard, I hope Amber wins the appeal and the whole case is tossed out. Both of thier careers are pretty much over at this point. Johnny might recover more than Amber but I highly doubt Disney/Harry Potter will bring him back.

I really don't care how unpopular my opinion is. I believe BOTH Amber and Johnny abused each other, but due to the vilification of Amber through the online attacks, the misogyny in our culture/society, and popularity of Johnny Depp, Amber got punished more while Johnny is walking away mostly unharmed. The man was clearly not a saint as his fans like to think.

I hope all the people who took part in tearing apart an "unperfect victim" like Amber on social media are happy. You have unleashed a beast that is going to affect our culture, society and even legal system for decades to come.

Her lawyer stating that she will appeal the verdict is laughable considering that Johnny can easily sue her again on grounds of defamation for this ridiculous statement. He has just as much, if not more, of a leg to stand on with a case regarding that statement. She needs to get a job and leave that man alone. Maybe ask Elon to donate the money.

She got caught lying under oath multiple times so not surprised she lost. How people still support her when its obvious she's not being truthful about so many things baffles me. The problem is she denies any wrongdoing when she admits to these same things on multiple tapes. Do I support a proven liar? Absolutely not.
