I’m actually surprised how much Kim’s delivery ressembles Kate’s. It doesn’t add much to the original, but it’s a nice modern update. Gen Z could eat this up. I guess it’s auto-tune but I’d chuck the software in that case because it does not do her any favors. otherwise it’s a pretty straight cover but I think the issue doing that is that you’re then really gonna be compared to the original artist especially on vocal performance and Kate just outstrips her there.
