EGOT2027 10,894 Posted May 31, 2022 Share Posted May 31, 2022 i agree so, so, so much (and this is coming from someone who would rank swine as one of my least favorite gaga songs ever). her energy was just unparalleled, even if you could tell she was still warming up to dancing and such post hip surgery. i'll never forget sobbing my eyes out to the livestream during IWBWY (even though i think that was originally about taylor and sorta took on a dual meaning overtime). i so so so wish that we had gotten a HQ version of that song officially released. if we ever do get an ARTPOP act 2 EP, i hope it's something like: 1. I appreciate the ARTPOP era so much; I loved growing with the songs from the Swinefest versions to the final studio album we got. For me, it wasn't "ugh the Swinefest version is so much better!" but this overwhelming sense of pride to know my favorite artist had given me multiple versions to go back to. CatelynnMarie 4,406 Posted May 31, 2022 Share Posted May 31, 2022 i view swinefest as essentially THE era of ARTPOP. like, i remember it being hyped SO much. we all got to experience pretty much more than half the album for the first time, LIVE. we got the GUY video, Roseland, and artRAVE, but i always just felt like the pinnacle of the ARTPOP era was swinefest. it had everything. so much emotion, a genuine experience. i remember i was in a really not good situation with an ex. when swinefest was happening, i had an ipad mini and my headphones. i was laying on this bed with a double ear infection. the only way i could hear was with my headphones. i remember watching and i felt not alone. i felt safe. it was exciting. it helped me escape from my reality as well as help me feel understood. it truly was a special moment in time. it's one of my personal favorite experiences to date Link to post Share on other sites More sharing options...
