It's just typical that male artists continue to make music and have no problems releasing it despite them struggle to have their singles chart whereas female artists like Xtina are having to release her album in the form of 6-sing EPs over many months to help them sell, Katy says that she'll maybe make a new album "if there's public demand for it" and Iggy has flat out retired because no one was buying her work. If The Chainsmokers were female, they would've had their first under-performing album (which was 3 albums ago) pushed back by months, possibly even shelved and started over and when that failed, they'd be let go and be forced to be independent. How some male artists are allowed to keep going when they've sold less than their female peers really infuriates me.
