But Americano is definitely the most underrated song in her discography. I'd say it's in my Top 10. They're some of her best lyrics to date. There's a lot of dark humor in the song, and I feel like some people don't appreciate the satire of it all. The production might be jarring to some, but I feel like that's the whole point. She's expressing her own friction with American society and politics, and the sonics of the song reflect that. The production is angry. Whenever she sings the "AAAAH, AMERICA" part, there's an undertone of disgust in her voice. Even when she sang it acoustically. It's over the top camp, but it's intelligent.
