I get that but they literally told the public that masks are not effective against covid - they didn't even say that more research is needed, they just flat out said they don't work. That's what I have issue with.

Well then, proof scientists are not these infallible gods many make them out to be

Time and time again they get stuff wrong. I have a lot of respect for them as they advance our society but it's also these reasons I hate it that when some take something with a grain of salt ur made out to be so ignorant of u don't "trust the experts"

Particularly with diet stuff I believe a lot in the balanced diet cuz u seem to never go wrong with that. Anything else the research keeps changing every 6 months :enigma:

Notchall saying you wouldn't comply with regulations if there's another pandemic :rip: it's not a matter of your whims and fancies

It’s truly baffling how selfish people are. And I see the same misinformation being repeated like they don’t have all the correct information at their fingertips. Just pure idiocy.

Depends on what you want to take away from what they said. They stated that masks aren’t needed when healthy people are among other healthy people. Also that masks can actually increase the risk of getting COVID depending on the user and how they interact with the mask. As well as giving people a sense of ill security because wearing a mask would prevent people from washing hands, etc. They also mentioned the people who did need them were frontline workers. There’s a lot more to their claims when you understand what they were saying. People also need to understand that most masks that people were wearing weren’t even effective due to the material they were made out of.

I think the reason why the US, for example, had people wearing masks is because people didn’t care about COVID. So having to assume you had it was the reason for wearing it. Thus slowing down the contraction of the virus.
