How do you justify buying expensive makeup?

How do people who are not rich justify buying expensive makeup? :cryga:

You do not need to justify your purchases. Your money, your rules I guess but damn! Like I looked at prices and like foundation can even be 80$ :cryga:

Like it will not even last long unlike clothes or stuff which can last you years.

I am confusion. Why not buy cheaper brands with quality and stuff since you will use the product in a blink of an eye.

I don't use makeup myself but my takeaway from watching makeup artists and drag artists is that things vary in quality, texture, pigment, et cetera. So some cheap products might be more useful than their expensive counterparts and vice versa. Things like brand names also come into play when it comes to pricing. I typically hear spending more on certain makeup is better than spending less because the difference in quality shows, I tend to hear this when it comes to eyeliners and foundations/concealers.

not sure if this is the answer you're looking for :ladyhaha:

Because you get what you pay for. I haven’t had the results I wanted when I used cheaper makeup, like cheap eyeshadows are pretty chalky.

Don’t play with me, it just hurts me.

Depends on the product, some are def worth it some aren’t and people value different things. I am cheap so I would not :vegas: unless I was rich! I’ll spend some money on perfume

Quality, now there are some good drugstore products, for example, the only foundation I use is the Maybelline superstay matte ink foundation, I recommend it!

Quality for sure. Also, if you have skin issues sometimes you have no choice.

I don't buy super high-end makeup normally –– most of my stuff is mid-range -- but I have to be careful with my makeup and skincare because I have highly sensitive skin. Like just the other day, I had a welt on my face that developed as a reaction to a a new skincare product. Also, some makeup does contain stuff that just isn't good for you, so I like to be especially careful regarding what I put on my eyes and lips.

It depends on your skin, and then also how often you wear makeup, what your needs are, etc.

I think splurging on palettes is ok cause they last me a long time and you can really tell the difference between a cheap one and a nice one

I wouldn't really do that for the more boring stuff like concealer, foundation, etc

I don't use make up, but the quality between cheap and expensive products is visible, and expensive make up sita better on the skin and has a better effect

The packaging and experience of using something “special”. But in terms of formula there is extremely few products that justify price tags imo. Makeup tech has evolved dramatically in the past few years so I think its really cheap to produce good quality products if you’re a big brand.
