Any speculation this might be the collab Gaga was working on with Bloodpop years ago that everyone thought she would be a feature on? The lyrics are so heartfelt and emotional, I think the song will be a standard for covers. Gaga’s fingerprints are all over it, but it’s still very timeless and classic! Powerful!! Honestly think the vocals are better here than Til It Happened to You and Shallow (though Shallow was obviously going for a bit of a more "gritty" feel). The love theme from the original Top Gun ("Take My Breath Away") I think is a much, much better song but this song may work more for the context of this particular film. Yah, I have noticed when Shallow came out, people here called it boring and said it would flop... when it became #1 then everyone suddenly loved it. Hold My Hand is a cute song with amazing vocals and lovely lyrics but the melody is not just working for me. Let’s see will this grow on me.
