This will be a radio hit. The GP is not here for LG the personality as much, she's too weird/gay/etc. But a soundtrack song where only the song and not the celebrity image is front and center? That's a no brainer hit if the song is good.

The GP has loved Gaga since the Sound of Music tribute so I’m not sure why you say that. Not to mention she’s received lots of compliments for even stuff like this years Oscar where all she was was a personality.

I agree with you but I guess I get what he might be saying : Gaga is generally loved by the GP but when she gets too weird or artistically too focused on something creative she won’t be understood or appreciated by the GP the same way she gets loved when she sings ballads or does something canonical like recording a soundtrack, tribute an artist or sing beautiful classical songs. 

Recent example: Chromatica isn’t meant for the GP and the reception shows it but that didn’t or won’t affect her because  it’s like Chromatica didn’t even come out in the GP universe, they think of ASIB as her latest work and she’s still incredibly loved by the gp and they’ll keep eating  songs  made for them. I have many straight friends who really enjoy gaga and when they talk about gaga  I sometimes feel like there are currently 2 versions of her:

A) the one she chooses to share with her fans through specific sounds, visuals etc ( and the GP doesn’t even see that, it’s like their web algorithm keep this gaga hidden away to them ahah ) B) the less weird but still incredibly talented gaga who gets so much love by the GP. 

Btw I think this next soundtrack song is meant for the GP so another shallow slayage is welcomed

ARTPOP was an earthquake for her labelwise and they're the ones in charge when it comes to single releases .. yeah she redeemed herself but I wouldn't be suprised if it still left a stain. She's had only two worldwide official single releases per album since ARTPOP (PI, MR, SL & ROM) Except for ROM and MR they underperformed, especially when her lead singles meant to be her comeback. If it wasn't for Shallow they probably wouldn't put that much effort in promoting a movie track

I don’t entirely agree with this. Chromatica is definitely a GP bait album, Gaga said it was supposed to be an accessible album which explains the collabs. The only reason the GP didn’t “notice” was because the era was cancelled. I mean we kinda have to be honest, everything she’s done since ARTPOP has had the intention of reaching new listeners and not just pleasing fans who have been around since pre-CTC. Gaga is smart and knows she can please fans and make new ones at the same time with projects like Chromatica, so I get your point though.

I agree but all the new fans she’s gaining thanks to eras like Chromatica can’t be considered people from the GP: the GP will never use the word “fan” and will always think that a “little monster” is a creature from the movie Alien ahah they listen to a song when it’s already come out, they don’t follow her persona. My friends love ASIB, love the redone stuff, love her performances and will pay for a concert. That’s the most u can get from the GP before crossing the “fan borderline” ahah and a very small percentage of them will cross this line and the ones who do  were bounded to because their soul was never like the other people from the actual GP ahahah 

Btw The new soundtrack song could potentially be another universal goal

 

I think that, compared to many other popstar,  gaga is very powerful because she is very appealing to the GP with certain kind of music and certain kind of stuff that she puts out.

Gaga has gained a lot of respect and she has the relevance to be listened when she communicates through the music she knows  the word wants to hear and that’s rare because most of the other popstars gets ignored even when they put out stuff thought and made to be universally consumed.

that being said,  we need to acknowledge the difference because if the projects that she puts out for the GP were the same as the Chromatica&the creative weird stuff… well, she wouldn’t be so universally acclaimed.
