Scooter Braun disagrees with Taylor Swift weaponizing her fanbase

"I have zero interest in saying anything bad about her because I've never said anything bad about her in the past and I won't start to now. The only thing I disagree with is weaponizing a fan base.
The artists I work with have very large fan bases. You don't do that it's very dangerous. There's people within that fanbase who have mental health issues.
There's families involved and I think that's very very dangerous and I know the artists that sometimes will weaponize [...] I know what it's like to be ridiculed. So I i think that that's a very dangerous thing and I think that there's a responsibility."

I despise him but he's right on that. Taylor knows exactly what she's doing whenever she criticizes someone on Twitter and that's very low.

While we can all probably agree artiest should own their own dam music, he ain’t to blame for this. Again, she never owned them in the first place, and she did weaponise her fan base.

It’s just for people like Scooter all it is money and business, they can never relate or see your life’s work/story in as anything more than an asset and I think that’s what ultimately was his downfall in this deal whether he had malice intent or was simply ignorant to the disapproval to come as he implies. Taylor has made it clear that before this deal she had multiple bad experiences with Scooter as a person, so it’s not fair of him to sit there and act like she doesn’t even wanna see him to talk about her masters. She doesn’t wanna see him because she had bad experiences with him. I guess think of it as your school bully suddenly taking your school project you worked so hard on and then wants to negotiate on giving it back. Scooter knew he and Taylor were not on good terms and yet proceeded to buy her masters so how on Earth is he suggesting that he thought everyone was on board. Besides Scooter manages big big names, why would he make such a huge investment in a label like Big Machine when the label could very well be called the Taylor Swift Agency. Taylor’s catalogue was his primary goal and I think that’s what Taylor is trying to make the public realize. Scooter’s strategy is very much ok I’m a powerful white man and if you won’t work with me willingly Taylor, I’ll just buy your masters because I can. Also Taylor suggested to us that any deals with him would still involve him benefiting monetarily past her purchasing the masters and I think that’s what ultimately led her to re-record. They tried so hard to own her but alas it just backfired. Karma perhaps.

I agree with the part regarding weaponization. Often in her interviews or award acceptance speeches, Billie mentions the stan wars and how fan bases become vicious and toxic under certain circumstances. Not that Billie was referring to Taylor lol but you get what I mean. Gaga always talks about kindness and not using any form of violence. Everyone is entitled to their opinion, but personally I feel that when you are a huge celebrity it's very important to look at at stan culture and what they're up to and whether you are enabling them in any way.

This. I still remember when her fanbase attacked those young actresses from the Ginny and Georgia show as if they wrote the script themselves. When little monsters attacked Ed Sheeran, Gaga dedicated a whole post to him and asked us to stop. I don’t understand why Taylor can’t ask her fans to be kinder. With her level of influence, she should be able to do anything she wants, and she chooses to add fuel to all the online hate.

And remember when Pink's stans were pulling Gaga down after her Super Bowl performance because she incorporated acrobatics, Pink tweeted in support of Gaga.
