also why is a man whos worth 200 million suing someone whos worth 8 million for 50 million? shouldnt u sue her for her net worth and not an amount that would make it so she has to spend the rest of her life working to pay this debt off???? lets not act like someone whos worth 200 million needs that kind of money. 

 

No one is claiming that Johnny is a saint. The trial is not to prove that he never did anything nasty. It was to debunk Amber’s allegations against him.

 

And no, you don’t sue people base on their net worth. The amount is usually based on many factors. One is the projects/opportunity lost caused by defamation. 
 

Obviously Amber cannot pay it fully so if she lose the case, she’ll go to jail instead.

I’m just saying, 12 of the alleged assaults Heard accused Depp of were “proved to the civil standard” in the past and now it’s being shown that Depp is also a victim of Heard allegedly embellishing stories and abusing him. I just think currently (according to information from throughout the court cases that the public has access to) that they both don’t look super awesome.

Exactly this, he lost a lot of money because of her and his image took severe damage.
+ I think the main reason behind the trial is to repair his image after all of this, because of that it might be treated so public in general and shared everywhere.

he himself said his mother abused him and if we look at peer reviewed psych studies, children who are abused as kids can bring violent tendencies to their relationships as adults - thats a fact not some stan logic that johnny depp fans want to use.
