This is a very GP adult contemporary rock ballad and I think they will eat it up. Gaga’s vocals are beautiful and the 80s vibe really hits it home IMO. I really liked it!

I can imagine Gaga singing the last high note of the song then silence... "I've heard from the heavens!" and then the Oscar crowd went crazy! standing ovation. 💕

After all it’s a song sung by Gaga, it’s going to be quirky. Bad Romance had Ra Ra Ra and Born This Way had the “Capital H- I - M weird glitch. Both massive songs. But imagine, in the theaters, the movie ends, credits start to roll, that small snippet…the audience gets up to leave, they will hear that strange opening, and perhaps stay to listen to the song. It certainly is a WTF to grab attention. I’m sure radio will cut it though.

Yeah, I don't think it sounds bad at all, I just wish it was more present and sounded less out of place. Like, lean into that glitchy cool sound and let it mesh with the "larger than life" feel of the rest of the song :firega:

Instead, it feels like they took a glue stick and stuck it to the front last minute just 'cause :bear:

Idk, I don't want to be a complainer :ladyhaha: it's not bad, just not one I'll be desperate to return to in the near future.

Yeah but it came back around in Plastic Doll to finish the song out :bradley:

This noise just sits there and the rest of the song pretends it doesn't exist :bradley:

I'm more confused than anything :bear:

Only heard it once from my phone without headphones on. Very classic 80s/90s with few surprises but beautiful vocals. I need to listen to it properly to decide if I like it or love it. I think the MV will boost its appeal too.

It's the prequel to "911", maybe 👀👀

It could be another song leading into this from the soundtrack. Or maybe an instrumental that leads into the mixed up vocals

I might get hate for saying this. But Gaga needs to work with lyricists, writers. Chromatica showed some quirky and deep play on words and fun twists, but in general were very very simplistic and not poetic enough. Same we see here. Sentences are very conversational. You could hear those sentences from anybody in daily life.
Still I love it for those who enjoy, don’t let anybody rain on your parade and enjoy it volume up!

Feels like the superior version of Before I Cry, which I found to be kind of a miss lyrically. The vocal high points on HMH are unbelievable. Hope it does well

The song is good/ok. Nothing particularly spectacular or impactful about it like I was expecting.

I am sadly underwhelmed.

My problems with this song aren't with Gaga. Her vocals and lyrics are what make this song good.

The production is ****ing VILE. She needs to run away from BloodPop. The intro was interesting and probably meant to sound like some plane signal? I'd like to think that. Then it all goes downhill. There is something odd about the production. It's like it doesn't match the song in a way. It's incredibly basic and YOU CAN TELL only 2-3 people were involved with the song...

That being said, I think this song has the potential to be a hit. Not anything like Shallow, but a decent soundtrack hit.
