There are albums by some of my favorite artists that I didn't like that much, but I didn't have expectations so it was fine. I didn't like Chromatica but when I heard Stupid Love, I knew that this album wouldn't be for me. Same with Death by Rock and Roll by The Pretty Reckless, it's not as good as their previous albums for me, but the singles didn't hype me much so I was expecting it.

For me, P!nk's albums Beautiful Trauma and Hurts 2B Human are the epitome of underwhelming albums. I was hyped by the singles, but it was a huge letdown when I finally got to hear the full albums :noparty: .

I could name more, but these 5 in particular, as they're among my favorite artists

The most recent ones:

Chromatica - I still love her, of course and it does have its moments, but her EDM side hasn't been my favourite style of hers for a while and it feels like a step back after all the growth she's made recently.

Blue Banisters - The first Lana album that I didn't truly vibe with. Still some good songs but only one perfect one and one of her more forgettable. I think she's just been churning out too much music lately and stuck in a rut.

30 - It's not like I'm even an Adele fan but she naturally keeps us gripped with her choke-hold on the public consciousness and I wondered what a divorce album would sound like, especially as it was rumoured she was experimenting with her sound. Listened to it and its just overly long songs in the same old style, but not as good as before. She just can't seem to get out her comfort zone and try something new for once.

Crash - Not a big fan of her but her new singles at least showed promise and it turned out to be just under-par. I don't get what GGD's fascination is with her, she barely has any material that's truly outstanding.

Motomami - Rosalia's attempt for world domination as the newest it girl with 'cool and edgy' material is not it. This just feels forced and the entire marketing campaign for this album reeks of paid-for reviews in the hopes of manufacturing a success so the label doesn't lose its investment. I know it's harsh but I feel it has to be said.

come oooon everyone, this is a perfect opportunity to name every pop girl who had  a big hit and discredit their success!!!!! No men, no rock, no albums older than the 00's.... only pop girls had underwhelming albums!!! :fail:

I don't know what your obsession is with thinking this site is inherently sexist when it comes to bringing down women artists. There's few male artists or rock albums mentioned because this site is primarily made up of pop fans which is a dominant female genre and most people here are in their 20's or 30's, so the albums most relevant to them will be from the 00's and the last few years. They're also at the forefront of our minds as we listened to them a short while ago. It's not that deep.

ARTPOP will always remain my biggest disappointment I guess

ARTPOP is still HOT 10 years later, people just can’t forget about her.

Love and Fear from MARINA (I know everyone is sick of hearing that)

Chemtrails over the Country Club. It only had one single song I liked on it, and I love Lana :(

I liked Love and Fear I swear I’m the only one….

Chemtrails was definitely underwhelming but I feel like Blue Banisters redeemed lapped it!!
