I live in France and a most people would largely be able to save money with 3000 euros a month.

You make 6000 a month and have to spend it all to the point you can barely save?! Damn!! :enigma:

Taxes, bills, rent, and then auto loan if you have one, I mean you can realistically save 1k a month. But then those savings would disappear fast too because every now and then you travel, have a medical urgency or other types of urgency. So I wouldn't consider that rich lol. But life is probably more affordable in Europe.

Macron is the slightly better option and he will win. He's no good but at lest he is not sponsored by Putin.

Better Day

I low-key wanted Le Pen to win so the EU stays falling apart and I don’t feel as angry as Scotland being forced out of the EU.

The French more or less laughed at Britain for electing a far right leader. It would be karma. I am glad Macron won.

Oh yeah it seems very different indeed!

My best friend and her bf make around 3k together max and they can live in a quite nice house close to a big city ( a house that they start paying ) while also taking care of their baby and travelling time to time and enjoying restaurants time to time as well etc...

I'm french and I saw nobody doing that irl and not many doing it online since what they were mocking about him was often his style/ haircut etc, just like UK folks did laugh with it actually. Let's not generalize a nation as "more or less" meanies when it clearly wasn't its mindset to justify some kind of revenge please.

Can someone briefly explain why is Macron bad president? He is quite popular in my country and I haven't heard any scandal about him.

I'm not having fun tonight.

My prediction is that in two more election cycles the far right will win.

That’s if things continue as they are.

I think in 2027.

Le Pen:
2012: 17%
2017: 33%
2022: 43%
2027: 50%+?

General items are cheaper in the U.K. / Europe.  I was shocked to see pictures of American shelves and how much you all pay for necessities like shampoo.  Good, branded, middle road shampoo in the U.K. is £1 a bottle :wtfga: Plus that includes tax lmao

I think it’s likely to happen in the next election cycle if Le Penn is replaced.  I think it’s only her past and lineage that is holding back a lot of voters.  They’re tired of Macron but don’t want Le Penn.
