Charisma, Uniqueness, Nerve, and Talent is a synonym for a slur as well & that is still used… 💁🏾‍♂️

It’s a slur!  Don’t try and minimize it to improve your point of view.

You guys are correct, it is NOT a slur!  But it is still considered HIGHLY offensive to woman though. Wayyyyy before She-Male/Mail was. Also, this thread is called UNPOPULAR opinions for a reason… 💁🏾‍♂️

Kerri Colby looks fantastic in full drag - thats it with her, should have been eliminated second

RuPaul is fantastic & smart af, i hope she continues to be the host for at least 10 more years

I think its funny how much Ru promotes her songs through the show, but it has to stop for Rusicals like the S14 one

Ru has some fantastic songs

The level of talent is going down because the new fans are ignorant and just like a queen for what she represents (trans, non binary, etc) and not for the real talent. So we have the last couple of winners who are the weakest winners of the franchise.

Older queens gave us the better show and the better drama, but the producers to make the bimbos at home happy are picking younger queens with little experience and this ruin a season.

The last good season and the last season FULL OF TALENT was the 10. And you can pick a random drag queen from 1-10 season and this would be better than any finalist of the last two seasons (included the current one).

That's it. This is my opinion, so don't be mad at me and at my truth

Wow, the way I thought this was way harsh (Ty) but I high-key agree :haroon:

S14 is one of the best seasons of the show

Fans tend to hate on younger and more recent contestants because they can't accept that drag has changed a lot since s1 aired and they're stuck on that kind of old drag (which is obviously still valid).

I don't get the whole "queens have become too noice" thing, especially for s14. These are people who really clicked and grew to like and respect each other and constantly saying that they're faking it just because you want to see them fight on tv is stupid.

The 'alt' queens (Yvie, Willow, Utica etc.) have become the most interesting part of the show lately.

The way I fully disagree and agree with your post. My bipolar is showing.

I don't dislike the younger queens because I have some expectation for the old seasons to influence the new seasons. But many of the contestants they have chosen, I would say since s11, are just very sub par talent-wise. But it's like I said before, we've reached the point where there's a generation of "Drag Race babies" where these queens grew up with seeing drag queens on TV as their main influence. Versus queens, pre Drag Race, who had to work tooth and nail in bars for tips. I think that builds a certain aspect of character. Maybe why the Snatch Game was so awful. I'm not saying the new queens aren't talented at all, just that the show has set a bar, and imo, has let it fall...

Aquaria is a great example. She was 21 when she won her season and she had the ambition, drive, wit and IT factor to win. She could do fashion, humor, fish, acting, dancing, basically anything that was thrown at her. She mentioned though that she worked in bars and learned a lot of the old-school culture and references, which is required . The queens this season, even though I like them as people and some of their performances, their overall talent just doesn't stack up against previous seasons. Adore was 23 and is literally one of the top fan favorites and made it to the top 3. Jinkx was 24

So it's not their age, per say. It certain experiences that shape them and (drag/gay) cultural references and influences I think they are missing.

I do agree it's so much better without fights though, I got so sick of all that :samanthac:

And I love the alt queens, being more please! It makes the show so much more interesting!

earlier seasons of drag race are worshipped just for the sake of it tbh. yes, some of the earlier seasons are amazing, fun to watch, but people act like these seasons never had bad episodes or filler queens (season 4 lol). also, fans love to say how overproduced recent seasons are, but like... girls being pushed is nothing new (look at Adore on season 6), favoritism is nothing new (Ben being saved after being murdered by Darienne), girls getting wins out of nowhere (Rebecca winning makeover omg :air:). Like, older seasons are amazing, queens are different of course, cause drag changed, but new seasons are just as great as early ones imo.

S12 and S14 are one of the best seasons ever.

and i don't get hate for queens like Kandy, Vixen or Daya. they made their seasons so interesting, dramatic, exciting, if those girls weren't casted we would've had the most boring seasons ever.

See my above rant on older seasons v newer. That's my main critique. Yes the show has always been produced, but now it's to the point that it's predictable, that's the difference for me. And I will stand by my opinion that the double shantays and everyone gets to go to the finale blah blah is not shocking or entertaining, or revolutionary. It's kind of a let down because there's a large fanbase that wants to watch a competition.

Kandy and Vixen didn't bring anything new to the table other than bad attitudes. I can go to any gay bar and find queens fighting over petty sh*t. It would be different if their talent matched their desire to argue.

Daya, even though I don't like her as a person and just seems to be another catty queen with a bad attitude, is very talented and I hate to say it, but deserves to be in the finale. But majority of the queens throughout the seasons that are drama filled are not worth the trouble imo. Producers just cast them for ratings.

That's it, thanks for coming to my TedTalk. I love you all and hope this doesn't affect our friendships :glamourpuss::kara:
