Another 5 foot 2 documentary ?

I've been thinking about this today... when Gaga was filming 5 foot 2 (in 2016 right?) Did u guys, at the time, know about it? Like did u know she was filming it because u may have seen paparazzi pics with a camera following her? Or were there any insiders who said so? At what time did u know about this documentary?

 

Do u think she'll be filming another documentary like that? (I know that Katy is doing another one)

Do u see that happening anytime in the future? (I mean they still have to release the Tony/Gaga doc)

I would like an open conversation interview tbh with where she is in life rn, what she thinks ab pop music, what her future will be, if she wants kids,... but idk if she even wants to be open like that. Like an Adele vs Opera interview perhaps but with Gaga

I wasn’t an active member here but I was really good about keeping up with Gaga news at that time. That said, I had no idea about the documentary being filmed until the promo poster came out. So maybe just not common knowledge to the gp? I’m down for another doc. Her just living her regular life is surprisingly entertaining lol.

I didn't know anything about it and don't remember hearing any rumours at the time. I was lucky to see her perform on the street outside The Bitter End as the final show for her Dive Bar Tour the day before Joanne was released. Before she came out on the roof they handed out NDA's for everyone across the road on the street to sign. No one read what it said but after seeing the documentary and that bit was included I realized that was why.

Yes we knew, she was being followed by a professional camera crew for a few months.

We even knew who was making it and when it would hit the festival circuit to be sold (Ultimately to Netflix).

The only things we didn’t know was full context and when it would come out/who was distributing it. Everyone speculated HBO at the time.

There definitely were rumours of her making a documentary at the time, as the other user posted, we had seen her being followed around by cameras a lot.

Personally I really want another documentary, but not at all like 5ft2. That was pretty much all about her personal life which, frankly, isn't that interesting. Like she's a 'regular person who does normal things' ok? That's not remotely entertaining. Overall she just came across as very self pitying, the whole thing was just miserable.

What makes her interesting is her artistry, and 5ft2 revealed pretty much nothing about her artistic process, meaning behind songs etc, and I hated the way they intentionally skipped the ENTIRE development of her SBHTS performance. We want to know why she chose certain things, why it looked the way it did. Not what she's cooking for dinner lol

 

It's truly a shame we'll never get the Terry Richardson BTWB documentary. That seemed like everything we could ever want
