Nicole Scherzinger to make solo music comeback

Nicole Scherzinger is making a solo music come­back after eight years away.

Announcing her return, she said during an intimate show in Los Angeles: “I’ve been doing some writing lately, working on this album.”

In telling lyrics about feeling like she has been beaten down by the industry, she sang:  “I’ve been underestimated, undermined, under- rated. If you only knew what it takes every day just to defeat it. See you don’t know where I came from, you don’t know what I’m made of, you don’t know. If you ain’t living my story, then you ain’t living my glory . . . I ain’t never going back. I’ve come too far for this, I fought too hard to miss."

During her concert, Nicole teased that she could release an EP or a full album with the title Warrior.

So when the PCD released React 2 years ago, I thought they were gearing up to come back as a group and drop a full album and tour…of course we all know what happened the last two years but damn did she just decide to do solo altogether and forget the group getting back together?

She is always underrated, both her two albums are incredible pieces of pop music, and her vocals are way above those pop girls.

tour was canceled.
Robin Antin organized Pussycat Dolls reunion only to launch Pussycat Dolls: Next Generation, there was no plan for the future for original dolls, there was no album, they didn't even have label deal.
Pussycat Dolls canceled tour only a few weeks before it started, they didn't tease any new music before tour or during pandemic, no photos from recording studio, nothing that would indicate that there is anything more than React.

She has so much great solo music. People just don't seem to like her for some reason. "Don't Hold My Breath" is pop heaven and "Run" is gorgeous ballad melodrama.

This self-pity, "I'm underrated" type of behaviour is what turns people down. If you didn't make it the first time, go back and make a better record the next time around. That's what makes success last. 

She's super talented, a great vocalist and dancer, but her music is super generic and boring.

aw this song feels genuine. i m not sure how people would #react to it though... it does feel a bit skewed to a pop star underdog's perspective like, it's not something people can necessarily care for too much. I so want her to succeed but it sounds like she has some limiting beliefs or something that stops her from connecting with people.

She's classically trained and very talented. She's not wrong about being underestimated.
