Magic Mike 2,734 Posted April 10, 2022 Share Posted April 10, 2022 Regardless of the fact that we're still going to get a Chromatica tour, I'm starting to get saddened by the fact that I have to accept that Gaga will probably release less and less music. You guys talked about the experimental vein that should continue to inspire her in the future, but I'm just genuinely curious to know if, in parallel to the movies, Gaga wants to be generous to the world by giving us back new musical material. I don't want TEDtalks about the state of the world, I want artistic attitudes, answers, not didactics. So - when do you think it's likely to happen? Anderson123 38,184 Posted April 10, 2022 Share Posted April 10, 2022 I want to be optimistic and say early 2023 but still doesn't feel like she has had the time to really work on new music with all the projects she has worked on and award shows and stuff like that. The Fame Monster and Born This Way were created while she was on tour and she made Joanne in like 6 months so we know she doesn't -need- a whole year to make music. I think it will be huge like Lemonade, 30, etc. She's never been so established and respected in the industry. I know lots of people say her main focus is now acting, but I believe in my heart that her musical legacy as an individual artist is something she values at the highest level. I think she knows she's uniquely positioned now to do exactly what she knows she's capable of. A new career peak is on the horizon. *Side note: From a publicity standpoint, I think she also has a unique opportunity. The public is now used to seeing her as JazzGa, HollywoodGa, etc. and mainly see her performance art as a relic of the past. I think she is being strategic here. She really could shock people again with her fashion, videos, etc if she wanted to for the next era. There's also a newfound nostalgia amongst the GP for her previous eras, which I've noticed on tiktok and twitter lately. I also believe her next era, beginning with the Chromatica Ball itself, will be one of the most creative she's ever had. (I think she alluded to this in her insta comment to that fan about TCB... and I think the Grammys were one of her last toned down performances we will see for a long time). 🤖⚡️ Link to post Share on other sites More sharing options...
