Post-album singles aren't as relevant as they once were.

The Monster was the LTWYL sequel and it was honestly just as successful. FourFiveSeconds wasn’t well received at the time but it aged like fine wine and it was still extremely successful around the world back then. Also looking at all the singles that weren‘t mentioned.. Chart run and position wise some „hits“ by our faves could never. Never ever ever. Sometimes I forget how MASSIVE and IMPRESSIVE her success is. Almost every song that wasn’t a smash was a moderate success.
StrawberryBlond 14,820
The last decade started in 2012. Rihanna released one album at the tail end of 2012 and one more in early 2016. She's maybe had about 3/4 hits in the last 10 years, so how is she possibly the one with the biggest amount of pop hits? I don't know why she's one of the first names that comes to mind - she was unstoppable from her debut until 2012 and then she decided to take a break, had an issue with releasing Anti and never released anything since. We need to stop bringing up her name when this kinda topic comes up. I'd say probably Ariana. From her second album onwards, she's just had hit after hit after hit. Probably the last big name that will stick around for a while. And there definitely hasn't been many of them since the 00's.
