IVE makes MAJOR comeback

After their massively successful debut back in December IVE is back with their highly anticipated first comeback with the single album titled ‘LOVE DIVE’.

The single album ( 2 songs ) has already sold over 120.000 copies in just under 5 hours of release. For comparison, their first single album ‘ELEVEN’ sold 152,229 copies in it’s first week, making it at the time the best selling debut album by any girl group in kpop history and entering top 4 best selling female albums in the first week ever.
Their previous title track ‘ELEVEN’ achieved 13th music show wins ( some of the most in history by a girl group ) and was regarded as a breath of fresh air in the landscape of kpop for it’s unique production and catchy melodies. Check it out here:

Now, for my personal opinion, I ABSOLUTELY ADORE THIS COMEBACK. Their debut song was SO good and successful, the pressure was on for this first comeback. I believe them going for a completely different sound was a smart decision as it released them from the possible comparisons between the songs. These two title tracks couldn’t be more different from eachother and I love them both just the same. I also believe that once again they tried something new and risky for mainstream kpop with this chorus, making this song also unexpected at first listen ( the pre chorus is INSANE and the breakdance also ). As with their previous song, a lot of people didn’t necessarily know how to react at first because of how different it was but became addicted with the second or third listen. I think this is going to be the case here also. I... am just blown away and I don’t want to get ahead of myself but I believe IVE is going to be in top 3 girl groups of this 4th generation of kpop. To say IVE is the moment is an understatement and couldn’t be more objective. While other groups managed to break their previous records, the impact and success in the long run couldn’t come close.

STAN IVE and check out their other 2 songs, ‘ROYAL’ from this new single album and ‘TAKE IT’ from their first single album!  The collapse is going to be insane when they release their first mini album!

Absolutely love it. Gaeul and Yujin are my top picks that shines this era and so did Rie. They really are a breath of fresh air in the Kpop landscape

Love it when you call me legs, in the morning buy me eggs 🥚

I said *single* album. It’s a common practice in kpop with newer groups. They do this to pull in fans before they release a mini album or full album. Blackpink did that too for like 2 years.

Right? I feel so too! Liz and Leeseo were the ones that stood out the most last era in my opinion.

Not feeling this song so much at first listen but the "oooh ooooh"s are damn catchy!

Eleven on the other hand is really a iconic debut song! Also I hope Wonyoung feels better, I read her mental health wasn't at the best because of the criticism

I think it’s just like Eleven, at first you’re not sure but you get addicted second or third listen. They know how to make different but still consumable kpop music. What is going on with Wooyoung is beyond evil. Kpop hate is in general a different breed of evil.
