The joke is predicated on Kirsten's fame and success. I don't get how that's dismissing her career. It's only because of her career that it's a joke. I don't think it was a funny bit. To me the whole joke was the irony behind Amy calling someone as incredibly well known as Kirsten Dunst a 'seat filler', because we ALL know who she is, and she was nominated for awards that night for a super popular film that everyone is talking about I guess it was kind of an 'on the fence' joke I'll be myself until they fūcking close the coffin.
