Violence is never ok 😢 I was shocked to see him hit him and then accept and award shortly after receiving applause it felt icky like as if people were happy about it.

I’m so sorry, but I do not think he needed to apologize. I understand violence should never be the answer, but humans are not perfect and sometimes our emotions can take control of us. I know if somebody made a mockery of my boyfriend, especially if it was about a health problem, and ESPECIALLY on national television I would do the same, or worst. And I’m positive anybody in a long term relationship would agree. Not to mention, Will just slapped him. Hard? Yes. But it could have been MUCH worst. Chris was able to immediately make a joke out of it directly after it happened.

Edit: The fact he publicly apologized just shows that either he is the bigger person, or his team made him do it. Either way, sometimes you get what you have coming to you.

You would be rightly arrested for assault. Yes, he is human, but he committed a violent crime. He absolutely needs to apologize.

I know that slapping someone is assault. I also know that people get into arguments and slap each other all the time,(Yes, I understand this does not make it right.) and more often than not unless there is an injury, or the person who got slapped wants to get back at the person who slapped them, there’s no legal action. Just because this event was televised does not mean it’s an uncommon occurrence.

He should apologize for the sole fact that he LAUGHED at the joke, looked at Jada, then went off on Chris. He thought the joke was funny.

not to mention I don’t even think Chris knew she had alopecia

I think that the fact he laughed, and then saw she was upset, did not find it funny anymore is completely valid. Imagine a room full of hundreds of plus people making fun of your wife, whether it’s a health condition, or her physical appearance. Neither would feel good.

Bonkers

I'm going to give him the benefit of the doubt and believe it wasn't just damage control.
