This album is an incredible grower. Every song is intriguing in its own way, I think it’s near perfect. Along with Charli’s CRASH, this is a good day for music and the gays.

And if this music isn’t for you, then kindly go back to listening to Dua Lipa or some other insipid pop starlet.

she samples song that samples another song written by Rodney Jerkins:

William Bevan (Burial) is credited on Candy because Rosalia samples his track Archangel. He sampled Ray J 'One Wish' on his song so she also gave credit to 'One Wish' writers: Willie Ray Norwood Jr., Rodney Jerkins, Fred Jerkins III, LaShawn Daniels.

SOAKO - why wasn't this the lead? It captures the overall sound and theme (if there is one) of the album by far the best. A very contemporary bop

CANDY - gorgeous vocals and chorus especially

LA FAMA - The Weeknd is so unnecessary here, I don't like him on this. The production is actually really good, nice melodies too, but the lyrics are painfully unimaginative. 'Fame is attractive but dangerous', we've heard it a million times

BULERÍAS - It's not bad, but I think this definitely confirms we didn't need another modern-flamenco album (contrary to what all the *ss-kissing stans seem to think we wanted). It's been done

CHICKEN TERIYAKI - garbage

HENTAI - pretty generic ballad, though I like the Hentai line

BIZCOCHITO - it's fun

G3 N15 - best lyrics of her career, so beautifully written and unique to her. I think some variation in the production would have been nice but overall stunning

MOTOMAMI - personally not a fan of Pharrell's usual sound but it works with the harder beats here. Not sure what this song is trying to say though, as a 'title track' it doesn't do much

DIABLO - super intriguing lyrics, I want to hear her talk about this one. Sick production too

DELIRIO DE GRANDEZA - meh, we've heard her do this stuff before and she doesn't do anything fresh with the song. The sample is good though, has she used it before? It feels SO familiar even though I didn't know that Soulja Boy song.

CUUUUuuuuuute - reminds me of Kesha's 'Tonight' but much harder, a bop

COMO UN G - it's sweet, nice vocals

Abcdefg - pretty cringe, feels like she's really trying hard to come across as fun and quirky

LA COMBI VERSACE - really reminds me of something from Number 1 Angel by Charli XCX. The lyrics are trash but sonically I love it

SAKURA - really great lyrics and vocals, and interesting production choice with the crowd. I think the sudden end doesn't work well at all though to close the album

IMO some great music there. I feel like it has been presented in the worst possible way though, from the poor single choices, boring messy visuals, and especially the tracklist order/flow from one song to the next. As an overall era/project I've kinda hated it since day 1, which is a shame because most of the actual music is decent to excellent.

Seems overrated to me. And seems some artists always get massive scores. RS magazine gave Crash 3 1/2 stars which I think was insulting considering it’s a perfect pop record
