alsemanche 93,927 Posted March 17, 2022 Author Share Posted March 17, 2022 Here are my thoughts on the album: -Most of the songs suffer from the short length, and the songs that are over 4 minutes should have been a little shorter because they drag on eventually -The album is very hit and miss for me tbh, many of the songs have some interesting elements but they don't go all the way there -Title track was disappointing af -The singles are some of the worst songs on the album (especially Chicken Teriyaki and La Fama) -Cute and Diablo literally sound like Arca songs... I don't understand why Arca wasn't on them Still good songs but like yeah idk it's weird, Arca could have taken them to the next level for sure because they way they are rn, they sound like they're trying to emulate the Arca sound without fully achieving -Bulerias SLAPS, it's so good, definitely a standout along with Cute and Diablo -Almost every single song on the album ends badly tbh. They just.... cut. Idk if it's on purpose but I don't like that at all -Sakura is BEAUTIFUL, great closer, but again it ends out of nowhere and the album just feels not done?? -Overall, it's not a bad album but it's not good either -My ranking of her discog: El Mal Querer > Los Angeles > MOTOMAMI Soft, soothing, and succulent Link to post Share on other sites More sharing options...

The title track was done by Pharell! I was sure that had to be Arca. The song I’ve been claiming is Diablo. I’ll come back and see if it was my favorite after all.
