I'm a huge Madonna fan and this remix is pointless, especially for an untouchable song like "Frozen".

I wasn't impressed until the guy started singing and then the song transformed into something's that was completely different. It almost felt like the song didn't even need Madonna's part or like they left too much of the original sound track n Madonna's part. Also didn't like the flashes of the original video. It should have been all new.

I found it very good overall. If the sound on the next album is similar I would be here for it.

I don't understand people calling out Madonna by saying she destroy her legacy because she is thirsty for attention while she built all her legacy shamelessly being thirsty for attention.

But she turned ambition and evolution into an art and made the best popgirl discography ever.  It’s agists that want her to stop doing what she wants that cry “destroying legacy”. The legacy is rock solid. Nothing she does now could ever take away all the success she’s had and the impact she made.

I'll direct you to what I said the last time one of you thought that it's even possible for Madonna to 'destroy her legacy':

The woman is impervious to accusations like this (which, by the way, have been flying around since the 90s). Forty years in the game, Madonna is directing her own biopic for Universal, some of the world's best actresses are lining up to play her, and one of the most successful record labels in the business is reissuing her back catalogue. Her career is studied in universities; her cultural impact is immeasurable. The original 'Frozen' remains a) still on Spotify, and b) one of the best ballads ever created. This remix changes none of that; it doesn't destroy her legacy; it just lines her bulging pockets even further, and gets more people listening to her music.

And besides, Madonna is the greatest popstar to ever walk the earth precisely because she's spent four decades being 'thirsty for attention'. Catch up.

Anyway, I hope your 'shade' was worth all the likes it got.

It certainly is, but to be fair to Madonna, the remix became a tiktok hit naturally and without her involvement, and she didn’t attempt or force it in any way -- it happened organically. When it first went viral, she wasn’t even credited.

Now she is of course capitalising on it, which aligns itself pretty well with her Warner deal.

Her streaming numbers saw a huge increase thanks to this song going viral.

Another one going through a similar viral trend is Material Girl, which is also all over tiktok at the moment.

i actually like it

I like it a lot too! I don't think it's meant to "replace" the original or anything like that. I also really like she is showcasing this lesser known artist, very cool of her. He's got a great voice too. And she looks SNATCHED!!!!

Madonna knows how to serve it to her fans and use a viral moment to her advantage. The Video may not be a high budget Video or whatever, but it gets the Job done. The Queen for a reason.
