Make no mistake, singers are definitely watching the great reception and accolades Gaga's received as an actress very closely. Sure, singers have acted in movies for years but its been a long time since they were in the position of being the main role in highly successful films and being nominated for Oscars. Nicki isn't selling like she used to and is realising she can't do rapping forever so she's thinking of other avenues she can take as an aging rapper. Her acting isn't half bad, I'll give her that, but I don't for a minute believe people will pay to see her take on a lead role or that she'd be warmly accepted by elite award ceremonies. For all that singers have diehard fan armies, you'd be surprised how little of them care about any other ventures their fave dabbles in. And how reputation-centred awards academies tend to be.
